Sabudana Vadas are made on navratri fasting not only vadas anything with sabudana are suitable to serve when we are in fasting like sabunada khichdi can aslo be served when we are in fasting. When served in fasting the food should not contain onion, garlic, cereals and pulses. Sabudana or sago is one ingredinet which perfect to be used while fasting sago kheer can also be made. I made sabudana Vada as a part of my Maharastrian Thali that was the first time I made these vada and H loved it a lot . I recently made these vada for evening snack and we enjoyed it a lot. followed the same recipe which I posted earlier in thali. Now lets move on to the recipe..

Ingredients
Sago / Sabudana – 1/2 cup
Potatoes – 1 No large ( boiled and grated)
Roasted Peanuts Powdered – 1/4 cup
Green chillies – 2-3 Nos ( chopped)
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Rice flour – 2 tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp ( chopped)
Sugar – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Method
- Wash and soak sago overnight in just enough water till it submerges.
- Next day drain the water and you can see the sago will be mashable.
- In a bowl take this sago, roasted peanut pd, green chillies, potatoes, lemon juice,
- Coriander leaves, rice flour, sugar, salt and mix them well.
- Divide the vada dough to equal parts and flatten each balls to a round shape.
- Heat oil in a kadai and fry the shaped vadas till they are golden brown from both sides.
- Serve them hot with any chutney or sauce you like.
