After hearing all the healthy benefits of millets I have started using millets atleast once in a week and I must say it is perfect way to substitute rice. I have made quinoa which a type of millet only available here and we love them . I found Kodo millet in a punjabi grocery store and immediately picked them to give it a try. This is the first time am trying varagu/ kodo millet , I have made many dishes using Thinai/ foxtail millet but kodra / kodo is the first time. This millet is very tiny and white in color , they perfectly taste similar to rice and very healthy. For my first Try I made this vegetable pulao with kodo millet and we enjoyed it a lot.
